THE IMPORTANCE OF WEARING GLASSES.. whilst FISHING A couple of moments to dwell on the fact that a salmon or trout fly, travelling at a few hundred miles an hour, could inflict a terrible eye injury, soon makes you realize that eye wear is essential when fly fishing. I always remember reading an article in the Trout and Salmon magazine by Fiona Armstrong, who described the horror of a girlfriend who hooked herself in the eye.
